As your elected representative for Area A at the Comox Valley Regional District, I am responsible and accountable for regional land-use planning and public services in the CVRD area, and for public services on Hornby and Denman Islands (land-use is currently looked after by the Islands Trust on the islands). The CVRD has an annual budget of about $120 million, with roughly $70 million for services and $50 million in capital investments and expenditures. The range of services provided to Comox Valley residents includes regional water and sewage, Comox Transit, waste, recycling and compost, fire department services, parks and trails, social housing, economic development services, and a number of other public services. In Area A services vary from one community to the next. I am also your representative on the Comox Strathcona Regional Hospital and Comox Stratcona Waste Management boards.
If you need information or support in matters relating to the CVRD in Area A, don’t hesitate to send me an email or give me a call.
